Purpose
These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of services offered on the website www.tropez-sea-academy.comÂ
By placing an order, the client fully accepts these Terms and Conditions without reservation.
Services
The company offers the following services:
Maritime theory training (including general boating knowledge, navigation rules and safety at sea)
Practical sea manoeuvring and boat handling training
On-water navigation and piloting instruction
Preparation for boating certifications
Official training leading to RYA certifications
The detailed description of services is available on the website.
Training is delivered in accordance with RYA standards and may lead to RYA certification, subject to successful completion of assessment requirements.Â
Pricing
Prices are indicated in EUR and are VAT exempt under Article 293 B of the French Tax Code.Â
The company reserves the right to modify prices at any time. However, services will be invoiced based on the rates in effect at the time of the order.
Orders
Orders are placed:
via email / booking system
The order is considered confirmed once:
payment has been received, or
a confirmation email has been sent
The company reserves the right to refuse any order in case of non-payment or inappropriate request.Â
Payment
Accepted payment methods:
Stripe / Bank transfer / Cash*
*Cash payments are only accepted in Euros.Â
Payment is required as follows:
A deposit of 30% is required upon booking to confirm the reservation.Â
The remaining balance must be paid before the start of the service or on the first day of training.
Cash payments are accepted only in person and must be agreed in advance.
In case of non-payment, the company reserves the right to suspend or cancel the service.
Execution of Services
Services will begin:
On a scheduled date agreed with the client
Delivery times (if applicable):
Duration defined at booking depending on availability and course type
The company cannot be held responsible for delays caused by the client (late responses, missing information, etc.).
The company reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel any session due to adverse weather conditions or safety concerns. In such cases, sessions will be rescheduled at no additional cost.Â
Training & Certification DisclaimerÂ
Training is delivered in accordance with Royal Yachting Association (RYA) standards.
Certification is subject to successful completion of practical and theoretical assessments as required by the RYA syllabus.
The company does not guarantee certification, as this depends on the candidate’s performance and assessment results.
The instructor reserves the right to determine whether a candidate meets the required safety and competency standards.
Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with applicable French and European law, the client has a 14-day withdrawal period.
However, the client acknowledges that:
if the service begins immediately after purchase with their consent,
the right of withdrawal may be waived.
Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellation conditions:
Cancellations must be made at least 7 days before the scheduled session.
Refund conditions:
Any service already started or completed is non-refundable.
Liability
The company shall not be held liable for:
indirect damages
loss of income or business opportunities
misuse of the services by the client
The client remains responsible for the use of the delivered service.
The client acknowledges that maritime activities involve inherent risks and confirms participation at their own responsibility. The company maintains appropriate professional liability insurance.Â
Intellectual Property
All content, deliverables, and materials provided remain the property of the company until full payment is received.
After full payment, usage rights are granted to the client unless otherwise specified.
Personal Data
Personal data collected is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable GDPR regulations.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.
In case of dispute, the competent courts will be those of France.
Changes to Terms
The company reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The applicable version is the one in force at the date of the order.
